Picture #1 Bridge
The compositional elements I used in this image are Line, Texture, Shape, Leading Lines, and the Rule of Thirds. This picture displays a mysterious emotion as to what lies at the end of the bridge. To capture this shot I crouched down facing the camera up so that you cannot completely see the end of the bridge. I selected this photo because it captures an interesting point of view.
Picture #2 Stairs
This photograph captures an interesting point of view that leads your eyes throughout the picture. The compositional elements I used to construct this picture are Lines, Rhythm, Leading Lines, and Shape. To capture this picture I stood up at the top of the two flight of stairs and leaned over the railing.
Picture #3 Flowers
This picture was captured with a very interesting blur behind showing a sharp capture of the plants in the middle of the photo. I used Texture, Distance, and Point of View to capture the flowers in a unique way. I held the camera at an angle facing down to capture a more interesting photograph. Also I used a shallow depth of field to display the flowers to be in focus and the background to be a blur. I believe this photo definitely holds the viewers attention because of the little details within the flower itself.
Picture #4 Leaf
The compositional elements I used to capture an interesting photograph were Pattern, Texture, Leading Lines, and Distance. The color of the leaf also shows an interesting and mysterious concept such as where is the leaf why is it angled the way it is. This photo leads your eyes through the tree and creates a cold fall season feeling.
Picture #5 Infinity
This picture gives you a mysterious but compelling feeling. These interesting lines brings your eye throughout the infinity symbol in a continuous motion. The compositional elements I used were Shape, Negative Space, and contract between Black and White vs. Color. I used a long shutter speed to display a sense of motion and capture a certain shape. I made sure to take lighting into consideration so there would be no blur or unknown lighting.
Picture #6 Swirl
While constructing this photograph, I took lighting and location in consideration. I used red christmas lights and swung them in a circular motion with another set of christmas lights swinging in a smaller circle right in the middle. I cropped this picture to show a different view that makes the picture more interesting. The compositional elements I used in this photograph are Shape, Rhythm, and the contrast between Black and White vs. Color.
